Surgery is set for Monday January 26th at 2pm but we will be at the hospital from 10 am on for all the before crap. This time I SHOULDN'T go into preterm labor since I'm not as far along, but you never know I guess. It sucks my cervix is changing this early :/ It doesn't give me high hopes for going to full term so the count down now begins for viability and then on....

Cerclage Surgery
Well after much deliberating and crying I felt it was only right to move the surgery to this Monday like the doc wanted. I mean I want to look back and say I did everything I could for little peanut too...so here is the count down.

And the Bad News Begins :\
First the baby is fine. We didn't have an ultrasound today but an appointment to meet with the doc who will be doing the cerclage.
Apparently I am already dilated some and he claims my cervix is 50% gone. Not sure HOW he figured that out when my ultrasounds keeps showing me at 3.9 and 3 and higher is good.
The ultrasound did show "fluid" in my cervix which he claims is me being dilated, that they didn't catch the dilating.
Regardless my surgery is scheduled for February 2nd, don't know the time yet but that will be the day.
So much for better luck this year :\

13 Weeks Preggo!

Size = 3 inches
Weight = 20 grams
Your baby can make a fist and even suck his or her thumb this week.
Your baby's eyelids are fused shut to protect his eyes as they develop. His bones and skull are solidifying and soon itsy-bitsy ribs may appear.
Baby's intestines are finally right where you want them—in his or her belly instead of poking out into the umbilical cord. Baby's tooth sockets are all loaded and ready to pop out baby teeth six or seven months after baby is born.
Your baby-to-be now weighs about 20 grams and is nearly
3 inches long, or about the size of a Nutter Butter.

Second Trimester
YAY! We made it :) Now the really hard part begins :\
Ultrasound Friday, then appointment Wednesday to talk about cerclage surgery. I'm aiming for the first week of February since I want to be vertical for my birthday this year. And I don't want the surgery the same week Kaitlin was born last year, so first week of February is pretty much the only window we have, hopefully it works out :)

12 Weeks Preggo!

Size: 2 1/2 inches
Weight: 1/2 ounce
Baby's face is looking more human as his eyes have moved to the
front of his head and his ears are in place.
Your baby is able to swallow this week and practices on the amniotic fluid he or she floats in. And in case you're wondering how your kid can breathe in all that fluid, here's your answer: Fetuses get oxygen from the blood pumped into their bodies by the placenta and don't breathe with their lungs. Mystery solved!
This is kind of gross, albeit fascinating, so feel free to skip ahead: Your baby's intestines are well under way, but they aren't all where you'd expect them to be. Instead of all being locked away in the body cavity, some are dangling on the outside, in the umbilical cord. Ewwww.
Junior has doubled in size over the past two weeks and now weighs almost ½ ounce. He's also now around 2 ½ inches long, about the length of your pinky finger or a Vienna sausage.
